What does NJCTI value?

TRAUMA-INFORMED PRACTICE

  • The relationships between body and mind and the effects of trauma on the body must be understood and acknowledged when creating intimate work within a performing arts space. Our work is based firmly in this truth.

BRAVE SPACES

  • No one can guarantee a persons complete mental and emotional safety. But we can guarantee that we will create spaces where brave steps are taken to be honest, critical thinkers, who speak from our own experiences.

CREATIVITY

  • The spontaneous, truthful-doing of organic art creation does not have to be stifled by safety and communication. NJCTI embraces creativity and healthy, well-communicated boundaries.

KNOWLEDGE SHARING

  • NJCTI wants everyone who works in the performing arts to have access to our tools and resources. We want to share our practical skills and knowledge with you. Contact us to learn more about our work and the resources available to you.
